Job summary

Prophecy Technologies Corp in the United States seeks an accomplished software engineer to build and evolve large-scale, reactive microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Scala, and Go. You will design cloud-native services deployed on Kubernetes in public clouds (GCP and Azure) with a focus on fault tolerance and testability.

You will work across SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, Cassandra, Cosmos DB), drive performance tuning, multithreading, and robust testing with Mockito and JUnit.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience building highly scalable, fault-tolerant, reactive microservices.
• Expert-level knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Kubernetes ecosystems and cloud environments (GCP and Azure).
• Proficiency in RESTful architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong testing proficiency with Mockito and JUnit.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as Oracle, Cassandra, Cosmos DB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build n-tier highly scalable, fault-tolerant, reactive Microservices using technologies such as Java, Scala, Go, Camel, and Spring.
• Develop cutting-edge next-generation Reactive Microsystems deployed in Kubernetes ecosystems within public cloud environments including Google GCP and Microsoft Azure.
• Design and architect cloud-native, distributed, high-performant, scalable, and fault-tolerant microservices.
• Build products with a strong focus on testability and comprehensive test coverage.
• Design and architect applications leveraging both SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically Oracle, Cassandra, and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Utilize industry research and innovation to continuously improve technology environments and build next-generation systems.

Required Skills:

• Expert-level knowledge and understanding of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Scala, Go, Camel, Spring, Apache/Tomcat, and JBoss.
• Proficiency in RESTful architecture.
