Job summary

Photon is seeking a motivated Solution Architect to design and lead digital modernization initiatives. You will create high-level architectures, decompose systems into domains, and design APIs for cross-functional teams.

The role requires leading delivery and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation. Expertise in Java (Spring/Spring Boot), AWS services, and containerization is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in solution architecture, including design documents, domain decomposition, API design, epics and stories for developers, and data team contracts.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services.
• Experience with containerization tools and technologies (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Java and frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot), and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD processes.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

What are we looking for?

• 5-7 years of solution architecture experience: creating solution architecture and high-level design documents, solution decomposition into domains, API design, creating epics and stories for developers, managing implementation team. Creating contract document for data team
• Excellent knowledge and strong experience with AWS services.
• Good knowledge of containerization tools and technologies (RedHat OpenShift Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong proficiency with Java and Java frameworks (e.g.: Spring, Springboot), SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.g.: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB), procedural and object-oriented development
• Good understanding of DevOps processes and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills

Note:

• Banking and Payments domain experience
• Must have 5+ years of experience as lead and webflux Must
• Strong production support, incident/RCA, and application-stability ownership
• Proven technical lead experience and team leadership
• Strong client-facing communication, as the person will need to provide regular updates to Manager.
