Job summary

Cognizant in Bentonville, AR seeks a Senior Java Lead to design, develop, and support scalable, cloud-native backend applications. You will work with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of IT experience with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Experience designing and building large-scale, high-performance distributed applications.
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in Hibernate/JPA, data modeling, advanced SQL, and database tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

About the Role

As a Senior Java Lead, you will make an impact by building and supporting scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality backend solutions.

In This Role, You Will:

Work model

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

These Will Help You Stand Out

• Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience working in cloud-native and containerized enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of application performance monitoring and observability tools.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
