Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Austin to contribute to requirements elicitation, design discussions, and development of software solutions. You will code and review, implement tests, and support deployment in cloud environments with Docker and Kubernetes.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, translate complex requirements into actionable tasks, and help ensure scalable, secure full‑stack applications across the SDLC.

Job Description :

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Your contribution to the team:

Required Skills :

• Experience in Java/J2EE development experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
• Ability to troubleshoot Java/Java EE applications effectively.
• Hands‑on experience with MongoDB, PL/SQL, and Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) for deployment and scalability.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of security best practices for full‑stack applications.

Preferred Skills :

• Working knowledge of the full SDLC lifecycle.
• Experience in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Ability to work with Client leads, Infosys leads, and cross‑functional teams to design and develop application features.
• Strong analytical capabilities, team player mindset, and platform support orientation.
• Willingness to work under tight timelines with minimal supervision.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
• AI/ML knowledge for integrating intelligent features into applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
