Job summary

Zillion Technologies, Inc. in McLean, VA is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer Associate to design, develop, and support enterprise applications across front-end and back-end layers.

The role requires hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Angular, and AWS, along with Spring Boot, CI/CD, and databases. You will participate in Agile delivery, perform testing, and contribute to production support and integrations. This is an in-person role with no sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field or equivalent working experience.
• Hands-on design, implementation and production support of Java/J2EE applications and Angular.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot), CI/CD, Apigee and Autosys/shell scripting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve production issues with customers.
• Experience applying OOAD principles and building enterprise or distributed systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle ambiguity on some projects.
• Experience with systems and software architecture.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Information Technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent working experience.
• Experience with the below is required:
• Hands-on experience in design, implementation and production support of Java/J2EE applications, Angular, Java Script, AWS, relational databases, SQL, GitHub Co-Pilot.
• Hands-on experience in Spring Framework (Spring Boot), CI/CD frameworks, Apigee, Autosys/Shell scripting.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to analyze system functionality with customer and resolve production issues.
• Experience applying Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles.
• Practical experience designing and building enterprise and/or distributed systems.
• Demonstrates ability to analytically address complex problems, process critical data, establish facts, and draw quality conclusions.
• Ability to work well under pressure, some tight deadlines and with ambiguity on some projects.
• Experience with systems and software architecture.

Your Impact:

Project Delivery and Operations

• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy and support enterprise-level applications.
• Position requires development and testing (automation and manual) activities, based on the need for each sprint.
• Deliver projects using Agile software development methodologies.
• Design and implement complex enterprise integrations with industry standard technologies.
• Participate in the day-to-day activities of the development team.
• Build and maintain test automation suite.

Technical Leadership

• Support planning activities, such as impact assessments, level of effort analysis and developer task assignments.
• Conduct and participate in detailed design reviews and validate that the design follows the approved architecture.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure best practices are being followed.
• Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to ramp up new development team members.

Production Support

• Participate in on-call production support rotation.
• Jump into troubleshooting sessions to resolve production issues, and drive issue to resolution.

Compensation

$50.00 – $52.00 per hour. This is the targeted compensation range for this role per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
