Job summary

Programmers.io in Austin, TX is seeking a senior software engineer with strong Java backend and full-stack capabilities to design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications. You will partner with Agile teams to deliver robust REST services and APIs, contribute to documentation, and help drive modern software practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise web application development with full-stack Java expertise and mentoring.
• 4+ years building REST services supporting high-volume, highly available environments.
• 4+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• 2+ years of experience with PCF or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Strong proficiency in RESTful service design and implementation using Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts, unit testing, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Ability to support all phases of the SDLC from requirements to testing.
• Strong ability to grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies independently.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dispersed environment.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
