Brooksource is seeking a Software Engineer to build and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular or React. You will partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and architects to deliver solutions from requirements through deployment and ongoing support.

The ideal candidate will have strong front-end and back-end development experience, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and contribute to technical decisions while remaining hands-on.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of programming or systems analysis experience.
• 3+ years of project experience with Angular 9+ and/or React 18+.
• 3+ years of UI/UX design or development with HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Sass/SCSS.
• 2+ years with Jakarta EE.
• 2+ years in Agile environments (Scrum preferred).
• Experience with Spring Boot and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL or similar relational DBs.
• Experience with Git repositories.
• Strong communication including customer/end-user interaction.
• Experience using AI development tools (e.g., Kiro).

Responsabilidades

• Translate business requirements into technical designs and working applications.
• Develop responsive UIs using Angular or React, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, and Sass/SCSS.
• Build and maintain back-end services with Jakarta EE, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Work with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, builds, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and system integrations.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and tool evaluations.

• Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular or React, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, and Sass/SCSS.
• Build and maintain back-end services and integrations using Jakarta EE, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Work with relational databases, including Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, integration builds, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and identify root causes.
• Support application upgrades, migrations, and system integrations.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, tool evaluations, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Collaborate directly with customers and end users, provide technical documentation, and mentor teammates.
• Incorporate security controls and follow development and architectural standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of programming or systems analysis experience.
• 3+ years of project experience using Angular 9+ and/or React 18+.
• 3+ years of responsive and adaptive UI/UX design or development experience using HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Sass/SCSS, or related technologies.
• 2+ years of project experience using Jakarta EE.
• 2+ years working in an Agile development environment, preferably Scrum, including sprint planning and story-point estimation.
• Experience with Spring Boot and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or another relational database.
• Experience using Git-based repositories.
• Strong communication skills, including direct interaction with customers and end users.
• Experience using an integrated AI development tool such as Kiro or a similar tool.

Preferred Qualifications

• Angular 9+ experience.
• Experience with Struts.
• Familiarity with microservices and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Experience developing or integrating RESTful APIs and using Swagger.
• Familiarity with Active Directory or Okta integrations.
• Experience with JSON, YAML, and XML.
• Experience writing PL/SQL stored procedures.
• Familiarity with AWS services and development/deployment tools.
• Experience using Jira.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues through application logs and SQL queries.
• Understanding of software design patterns, enterprise application deployment, and quality assurance.
