Job summary

Harris Computer is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design and implement scalable backend systems using Core Java and Spring Boot. You will craft RESTful APIs, work with PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB, and ensure performance and reliability across services.

The role also touches frontend tech (React/Next.js/Material UI) and AI-assisted development tools like Copilot, with emphasis on clean architecture and collaborative delivery within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, algorithms, and system architecture.
• Familiarity with modern software development tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Write code and contribute to the development of software applications, modules, or components.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, architecture, system integration, testing, and project management.
• Test code to identify bugs and ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and product managers to align with goals and timelines.
• Design, build, and secure RESTful APIs for third-party integrations and internal UI consumption.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Leverage Spring Boot frameworks and JS libraries to deliver robust apps.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and prompt engineering for application development.
