Job summary

Jobright is seeking an entry-level Java Engineer to develop and maintain backend services, including APIs, database integrations, testing, debugging, code reviews, and technical documentation.

You will work with a team to implement Java features, build API endpoints, and ensure reliable service behavior. This role focuses on foundational Java skills, REST APIs, SQL basics, and source control with Git, with opportunities to grow toward Spring Boot and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Foundational Java and object-oriented programming skills demonstrated through academic, personal, or internship projects.
• Understanding of data structures, HTTP APIs, and basic SQL.
• Familiarity with Git and a willingness to learn testing and maintainable service design.
