Job summary

Infosys Limited in the United States is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to contribute to design, development, and deployment of modern microservices-based applications for our Retail, Consumer Goods, and Logistics unit. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable software solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, code reviews, and CI/CD, along with documenting design decisions, building training materials, and supporting production

Qualifications

• Experience in Java/J2EE technologies and building scalable web apps.
• Strong knowledge of Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, microservices, Spring Security, Spring MVC, Spring Data, JPA, Hibernate).
• Experience designing, building, and integrating microservices using REST APIs and Kafka.
• Experience with DB SQL/NoSQL (Oracle/MongoDB preferred) and CI/CD.
• Willingness to relocate/travel; U.S. work authorization.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

• Experience in Java/J2EE Technologies.
• Experience in in building and supporting Web Development. Working in a software product development organization building modern and scalable web applications.
• Strong knowledge in Java/J2EE Technologies with in-depth knowledge on Spring frameworks such as Spring Boot with micro-services, Spring-Security, Spring MVC, Spring Data, JPA and Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and integrating microservices using REST APIs and asynchronous messaging (e.g., Kafka)
• Experience in DB SQL/NoSQL.
• High level knowledge on CI/CD
• Experience on DB SQL/NoSQL. (Oracle / MongoDB Preferred)
• High level knowledge on enterprise app deployment using CI/CD

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical team.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
