Job summary

Ampstek seeks a skilled Java Developer with Kotlin to design and implement backend services in a Phoenix onsite setting. You will migrate Java code to Kotlin, build RESTful APIs with Spring Boot, and apply coroutines for asynchronous tasks.

Responsibilities include Kafka integration, Hibernate/JPA database work, Spring Security with JWT, and comprehensive unit testing. You’ll participate in Agile/Scrum cycles, perform code reviews, and optimize performance, using Docker and cloud/Kubernetes

Qualifications

• Backend developer with Java and Kotlin experience.
• Experience building RESTful services using Spring Boot.
• Migration of Java apps to Kotlin advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Kotlin coroutines and asynchronous processing.
• Experience integrating messaging with Kafka.
• Familiarity with Hibernate/JPA and SQL databases.
• Security exposure with Spring Security and JWT.
• Proficient in unit testing with JUnit/Mockito.
• Build and dependency management with Gradle or Maven.
• Containerization with Docker and deployment on cloud/Kubernetes.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum development and code reviews.
• Version control with Git.
