Job summary

Citi is seeking a Java Developer with Kotlin in a hybrid role based in Poland. The senior programmer analyst will contribute to Prime Brokerage technology, participate in agile practices, and partner with global teams to deliver reliable, scalable applications.

The role emphasizes design, testing, and continuous improvement of our core platform. You will collaborate with business analysts, refine requirements, and contribute to documentation while supporting operations and mentoring graduates.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Job Overview

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Prime Brokerage Technology provides solutions that underpin the operations of our clients and traders that provide the foundation of our Prime Finance business. This is an area of great opportunity and is a major growth target for Citi – with technology providing the key to unlock this potential.

Responsibilities

Technical Experience

• Java & Test-Driven Development are essential.
• Experience in any number of additional technologies (listed below) is advantageous:
• Kotlin
• Cloud Technologies (Kubernetes, Open Shift)
• Messaging Technologies (Kafka, Solace, TIBCO)
• Database / Data Store / Data Query Technologies (SQL Server, Trino, Mongo, S3)
• Observability Technologies (OpenTelemetry, Elastic Stack / ELK, Grafana)

Recommended Qualifications
