Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with 10+ years of hands‑on software development experience to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This is a high‑priority role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications using modern Java technologies and cloud‑based solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and SQL, along with experience working in Agile environments. Exposure to AWS cloud services is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Java applications.
• Build and enhance microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise integrations.
• Write efficient, scalable, and optimized SQL queries and database solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Participate in application architecture, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring application reliability and performance.
• Implement best practices for coding, security, and software development lifecycle processes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑based deployments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong experience with:
• Spring Boot
• REST API development and integration
• SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Experience with object‑oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and modern development tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, EKS, or related services).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of cloud‑native application development and deployment.
