Job summary

Aktra seeks a Java Developer to provide hands-on production support for enterprise web applications, ensuring reliability, performance, availability, and a high-quality digital experience.

This role will troubleshoot production issues, manage dependencies, support releases and integrations, and partner with engineering and business teams to identify root causes and drive continuous improvements across our technology landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on technology experience delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based application development.
• Ability to analyze system architecture and contribute to technical design and planning.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as Acquia, Sitecore, or similar.
• Experience with Drupal knowledge management tools is preferred.
• Strong understanding of digital channels, content delivery and compliance.
• Ability to collaborate with Marketing, HR, Legal and Compliance leadership.
• Ability to manage dependencies across vendors and internal teams.
• Experience with Ping/SSO, Bitbucket Pipelines, Cloudflare, and New Relic.
• Solid understanding of DNS, TLS/SSL, REST APIs, caching, and modern web infra.
• Strong analytical and communicational skills in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

This role will troubleshoot and resolve production issues, manage technical dependencies, support releases and integrations, and partner with engineering and business teams to identify root causes and drive continuous improvements across our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Advanced degree or studies preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on technology experience, with a proven track record of software development and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based application development.
• Ability to analyze system architecture and contribute to technical design, architecture, and implementation planning.
• Experience with enterprise-grade web content management platforms such as Acquia, Sitecore, or similar frameworks is preferred.
• Experience managing and supporting ecosystems of knowledge management and content management tools, such as Drupal, is preferred.
• Strong technical understanding of digital communication channels, content delivery, deliverability, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Human Resources, Legal, and Compliance.
• Ability to effectively manage technical dependencies and coordinate software delivery across vendors and internal engineering teams.
• Experience with Ping/Single Sign-On (SSO), Bitbucket Pipelines, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) such as Cloudflare, and website monitoring tools such as New Relic.
• Solid understanding of DNS, TLS/SSL certificates, REST APIs, caching strategies, and modern web infrastructure.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
