Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. seeks a junior to mid-level Java developer in New Jersey to join a Scrum team and contribute to the full development lifecycle. You will write clean code, participate in testing, perform reviews, and help maintain documentation for APIs and deployments.

Familiarity with Spring, Maven, React.js, HTML/CSS is preferred, along with AI/LLM concepts and RAG techniques. The role emphasizes learning and growth within a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to implement RAG pipelines

Qualifications

• Experience with SDLC and agile practices.
• Basic programming skills in OOP and knowledge of common APIs and data structures.
• Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic SQL.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code.
• Conduct testing for reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile Scrum ceremonies.
• Own full development lifecycle: planning, design, implementation, testing, optimization.
• Create technical documentation for apps, APIs, and deployment.
• Ship to production: APIs, observability, CI/CD, security best practices.
• Stay current with Java developments and AI integration.
• Implement RAG pipelines using Spring AI and LangChain4j with vector DBs.
• Stay updated on RAG tech, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, and reranking.
