Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience.

About The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team in Alpharetta, Georgia. This role involves working on complex and varied technical challenges, requiring a deep understanding of software development principles and the ability to operate independently. The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence technical standards and best practices within the organization.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with at least 10 years of professional experience in software development. Demonstrated expertise in Java, J2EE, and related frameworks is essential. Certifications such as Java certification are preferred. Candidates should have robust knowledge of JavaScript, XML, SQL/PLSQL, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, and experience working with Oracle databases. Familiarity with frontend technologies like ExtJS and AngularJS, as well as Unix/Linux environments, is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with stakeholder management are crucial. Additionally, candidates should have a proven track record of participating in all phases of the SDLC and leading technical initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement Java-based applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and external IT partners, to gather requirements and develop technical solutions. Lead coding activities, review code, and provide mentorship to junior developers. Participate in system analysis and design activities, producing detailed application design documents in collaboration with end-users and systems planning groups. Work on integration projects, coordinating with external teams to define interface specifications and ensure seamless data exchange. Develop and recommend design patterns suited to existing application architecture and business rules. Support efforts related to data integrity, encryption, and security to safeguard sensitive information. Validate application performance and data quality, ensuring programs operate on clean, correct, and useful data. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, code changes, and technical procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues promptly, applying innovative and effective solutions. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance application performance and security.
