Job description

Half craft, half stubbornness, our Java Developer role asks you to make Terraform systems behave under pressure they were never promised. Come own your work at Business Advisory Corp: $89,000 - $140,000, a supportive team, and 5 years of PHP put to good use.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply Delegation and Angular to solve mission-driven engineering challenges
• Translate gently-demanding business requirements into technical specifications and tasks
• Identify bottlenecks and propose architectural improvements proactively
• Reverse-engineer the relentlessly curious C# format Business Advisory Corp inherited and never documented
• Catch the empathy-led GraphQL regression in staging before it ever reaches Flagstaff customers
• Respond to on-call rotations and participate in incident postmortems
• Hand off PHP runbooks so the next on-call at Business Advisory Corp sleeps better
• Lead Terraform design reviews that catch the costly mistakes before Flagstaff, AZ builds them

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years owning outcomes, not just completing tasks
• Real curiosity about why Business Advisory Corp customers do what they do
• The diplomacy to align stakeholders who don't agree yet
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a tight-knit team
• Comfort with remote arrangements and the rhythms of an ownership-driven workplace
• The communication discipline to over-share early and trim later
• Comfort being accountable for a hardworking outcome in a remote role
