Job summary

Infosys Limited is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to join the EAIS unit in the US. You will contribute to requirements elicitation, drive design discussions, and implement features across the software development lifecycle, ensuring stability and quality.

You will work on Java-based services, microservices, and integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases, with opportunities to leverage AWS services and Kafka for messaging. Relocation/travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience in Core Java (Java 8+).
• Spring Boot framework experience mandatory.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and patterns.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned parts of business requirements per guidance.
• Facilitate software design discussions and document design decisions for the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate features into existing apps while maintaining stability.
• Conduct code reviews and manage code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold quality.
• Develop user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks for new software.
• Resolve production issues and suggest preventive strategies to improve reliability.
• Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich knowledge base.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided


• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions


• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability


• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories


• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards


• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications


• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability


• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

• Hands on experience in Core Java (Java 8+)


• Experience with Spring Boot framework


• Hands on understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns


• Experience with microservices architecture


• Working with SQL and No SQL databases.

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.)


• Experience with Apache Kafka / messaging systems

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
