Contact Government Services, LLC (CGS) is seeking a Java Developer to join a team enhancing data utilization for a large state-run project in Virginia. The role focuses on aggregating data from multiple sources to plan collection, processing, storage, and reporting processes.

The ideal candidate has deep Java experience and web applications expertise, specifically with Java Server Faces. CGS offers a collaborative environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a benefits package

Qualifications

• Three or more years of Java web app development using JSF.
• Five or more years in Java web UI design with HTML/CSS/JS.
• Experience integrating Java apps with SQL databases via Hibernate.
• Strong SQL relational database design and coding skills.
• Experience working both independently and in teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive priorities and multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designs.
• Provide work estimates to project manager, provide frequent status updates and track progress.
• Formulate program specifications and basic prototypes.
• Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate language.
• Integrate individual software solutions to higher level systems.
• Use web-based tools to create and advance applications.
• Test code periodically and perform debugging as needed.
• Collaborate with business, development, and QA teams on testing and acceptance procedures.
• Perform upgrades to improve security and efficiency.

CGS is seeking a Java developer/programmerto join a team working on the enhancement of data utilization for a large, state-run project.The developer will be asked to aggregate data from several different existing sources and prepare plans for how this data can be collected, processed, stored, and reported on.The candidate for this position should have a strong understanding of large-scale enterprise systems and have a demonstrated expert knowledge of Java coding and web applications including Java Server Faces Framework.

Qualifications:

• Three (3) Years of experience developing Java web applications using the Java Server Faces Framework
• Five (5) Years of experience in Java web application user interface design and implementation including HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Three (3) Years of experience integrating Java web applications with SQL databases using Hibernate
• Three (3) Years of SQL relational database design and coding experience
• Five (5) Years of experience developing software both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to demonstrate superior organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in time-sensitive situations and prioritize multiple projects with similar deadlines
