Job Description

Bridge the gap between Product Owners from the lines of business and Delivery Team implementing the technical solution.

Work closely with product owners to understand business roadmap and features for incorporation.

Translate features to the technical team, grooming features and translating them into well‑defined user stories before sprint planning.

Provide full life cycle development with JAVA technology.

Understand coding standards and implement them within code being developed.

Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.

Communicate with users to determine problems or design requirements.

Lead team and project, deliver on time.

Document changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process independently.

Willing to learn and adopt new technologies in short period of time as required by the Project.

Design solutions for complex projects.

Coordinate with the customer to review software application requirements and provide/propose technical solutions and architectural design for enhancements.

NOTE: This position is available for FT Direct Hire, C2H and C2C employment.

NOTE: This position is located in Arlington, VA. The possibility to work remote 2 days/week may become available, depending on candidate performance.

NOTE: This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Systems/Information Technology or related field.
• 7-9 years of Java/J2EE experience.
• Knowledge of JBoss Application Server, Apache.
• Knowledge of Hibernate or Struts or Spring framework.
• Knowledge of Datastructures, Algorithms, ODBC, JDBC Drivers.
• Knowledge of Cloud implementation is required and experience in AWS technology will be an added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical skills, self‑motivation, and attention to detail.

Desired Skills:

• SVN, CVS as configuration management tool.
• AWS Cloud Services and DevOps is a plus.
