A leading tech staffing firm is seeking an experienced Java Cloud Developer for an on-site contract position in Plano, TX. Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Cloud Developer to support enterprise-scale, cloud-based applications for an on-site contract role in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate has strong Java fundamentals, hands-on cloud experience, and experience building scalable microservices in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Java-based cloud applications
Build and support microservices using Spring Boot / Spring Cloud
Design and consume RESTful APIs
Deploy and support applications in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Work closely with DevOps, QA, and business teams on-site
Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support
Follow best practices for security, performance, and scalability

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of Java development experience
Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with microservices architecture
REST APIs, JSON, web services
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
SQL and/or NoSQL database experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work on-site

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Azure equivalents)
Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
