Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain backend services for production systems. The role emphasizes robust, scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot, with collaboration across product and engineering teams.

Fluency in Korean is required to communicate with stakeholders and documentation. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain APIs, optimize queries for large datasets, and participate in CI/CD with automated tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Java + Spring Boot, or Nest.js.
• Experience with large datasets and writing complex database queries.
• Fluency in Korean (spoken and written) required for communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
• Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Optimize application performance and database queries for services that handle large datasets.
• Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
• Document system designs, APIs, and runbooks; communicate status and trade-offs in Korean and English as needed.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team process improvements.
