Job summary

Photon is seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer in Boston to lead the design and implementation of scalable services using Java and Spring Boot. You will own RESTful APIs, drive cloud-native deployments on AWS (EKS, Lambda), and collaborate with frontend teams to deliver robust features.

Ideal candidates have strong unit testing skills (JUnit/Mockito), a solid grasp of DevOps (CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and a passion for clean architecture and test-driven development.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with AWS EKS and Lambda
• Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins / GitHub Actions
• Unit testing with JUnit/Mockito and TDD practices

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of new functional modules using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate on the integration of Vue.js front-end with server-side logic.
• Write comprehensive automated unit tests (JUnit/Mockito) for features.
• Manage cloud deployments on AWS EKS and Lambda serverless logic.
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for builds, tests, and deployments.
• Develop and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
