Job summary

OKAYA Inc seeks a seasoned Java/J2EE Developer Lead with 10 years of progressive industry experience for a hybrid role in Charlotte, NC / Jersey City, NJ. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications with Agile practices and RESTful APIs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and strong expertise in RedHat OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and complex SQL, along with DevOps CI/CD, GitHub/Bitbucket, and daily SCRUM participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years progressive Java/J2EE experience with leadership exposure.
• Experience in scaled Agile / SCRUM environments and story estimation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-grade Java/J2EE applications.
• Build and maintain REST-based APIs in a high-volume environment and ensure performance.
• Participate in code reviews, daily SCRUMs, and collaboration with product partners to onboard new requirements.

Looking for a seasoned JavaJ2EE Developer Lead with 10 years progressive industry experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering Computer Science Management Information Systems Computer Information Systems or related

5 years of work experience in a Scaled Agile environment Work history of leading daily agile routines and estimation of stories with minimal direction

Analyzing designing and developing enterprise applications with Agile development methodology

Designing building and maintaining REST based API platforms in a high-volume environment

Experience with RedHat OpenShift or Docker and Kubernetes

Expertise with complex SQL and query plans

Experience with enterprise DevOps CICD and monitoring tools

Working knowledge of GIT Hub or Bitbucket

Has worked closely with product partners to on board the new functional requirements in the system

Participating in code reviews and daily SCRUM
