Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Chicago to help elicit requirements, guide design decisions, and implement features in scalable microservices on Azure. You’ll participate in coding, reviews, and testing to ensure high-quality software for manufacturing clients.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to production support, and document solutions to enable efficient operations and future enhancements.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill And Experience

• Develop and maintain scalable microservices using Java 8/11 and Spring Boot, Angular and JS deployed on cloud infrastructure (Azure).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and relational databases
• Hands-on experience with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault and Azure SQL

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Experience with Angular 12+ and modern JavaScript or TypeScript development
• Basic knowledge of Generative AI concepts and exposure to integrating Azure OpenAI or Azure AI services with enterprise applications.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
• Proven experience working in onsite-offshore delivery models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Leadership mindset with strong collaboration and mentoring skills.
• Conduct peer code reviews to maintain code quality and shared best practices.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
