Job summary

Infosys is seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute to the DX unit, focusing on Java Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices. You will participate in design discussions, implement features, and maintain robust code with strong test coverage.

You will work in a collaborative, global delivery environment, building human-centered digital platforms and helping clients transform their digital journeys. Relocation may be required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on development with Java 8, REST APIs, and Spring ecosystem.
• Familiarity with OpenShift deployments and test frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Document business requirements and support requirements elicitation.
• Lead design discussions and translate design decisions into tasks.
• Develop and integrate features, ensure code quality and stability.
• Perform code reviews and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials and support documentation.
• Resolve production issues and suggest preventive measures.
• Maintain thorough records to enrich knowledge bases.

Area of Responsibility

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided.
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications.
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects.

Required Skill And Experience

• Experience in Java Spring Boot and Angular.
• Hands‑on experience in Java/Microservices Development.
• Experience in Hand‑on software development using Java Spring Boot and Angular.
• Experience in Java 8, REST, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka or MQ, OpenShift deployments, Spring Security, JPA, XML, XSLT, JAXB, JAXP, MVC, JUnit, test framework, and various design patterns.
• Hands‑on experience in Angular with experience in SOAP and RESTful web services.
• Experience in SQL Server or Oracle or Mongo DB is desired.
• Work experience in front‑end languages and libraries like HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, TypeScript, Jasmine, Karma, Mockito is required.

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Ability to work in a team in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
• Good analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
