Job summary

Amazon MGM Studios Japan in Tokyo is seeking a Senior Creative Executive to lead the development and production of local scripted series and original movies for Prime Video. You will manage the full lifecycle from sourcing to greenlight, reporting to the Head of JP Local Originals, and nurture relationships with top Japanese producers, writers, and directors.

You bring extensive content development experience, strong creative instincts, and the ability to juggle multiple high-priority projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years of creative executive experience.
• 5+ years of series development experience.
• Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development, production and post-production.
• Fluency in business Japanese (N1+) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and develop high-potential projects aligned with content strategy.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with producers, writers, directors, and talent in Japan.
• Drive projects from concept to screen, ensuring premium quality and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with global Amazon teams to align local productions with international standards.
• Represent Amazon MGM Studios at industry events and negotiations.
• Oversee and mentor junior development executives.
• Oversee multiple projects across varied development stages.
