Job summary

SMC, Inc. is seeking a Janitorial Team Member to maintain a clean, safe environment across assigned facilities in San Antonio. You will perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and debris removal to meet company standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

You will follow safety protocols, participate in training, clock in/out accurately, and work with the cleaning services team to support efficient operations and professional conduct at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms including sinks, mirrors, toilets, floors, and dispensers.
• Refill restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Clean vents, fixtures, entrances, thresholds, frames, and facility surfaces.
• Remove debris, dust, and dirt from designated work areas to maintain sanitation standards.
• Follow all safety procedures including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow company cleaning standards, procedures, and customer site requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding work progress and needs.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
• Follow written and verbal instructions related to cleaning assignments.
• Participate in required training sessions and on-the-job training (OJT).
• Support teamwork and cooperate with other personnel to complete tasks efficiently.
• Accurately clock in and out according to company timekeeping procedures.
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with building occupants and customer representatives.
• Perform additional cleaning tasks or operational duties as assigned by management.
