Job summary

Unifi is seeking a supervisor to lead a team of airport facilities cleaning agents, overseeing daily janitorial operations and ensuring safety and efficiency. The role involves coordinating shift schedules, training staff, and maintaining compliance with station policies and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will liaise with the Station Manager to address issues, conduct shift meetings, and mentor employees to uphold Unifi safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.

• Supervises a team of agents in janitorial duties and coordinates daily activities to ensure a safe and effective operation.
• Responsible for shift schedule to include work assignments, training, vacations, breaks, overtime and rotations.
• Reports safety or security incidents and ensures adherence to policies and procedures.
• Trains, coaches and mentors employees in station policies and safety.
• Promotes Safety, Anti-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity compliance.
• Ensures safe working conditions and regulatory compliance.

Job Duties:

• Supervises a team of agents in janitorial duties and coordinates daily activities to ensure a safe and effective operation.
• Responsible for shift schedule to include work assignments, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
• Responds to employee issues or complaints in a timely matter.
• Communicates with the Station Manager concerning any problems or issues.
• Schedules and conducts shift meetings.
• Trains, coaches, counsels, and mentors’ employees in compliance with station policies.
• Monitors and enforces safe working conditions in accordance with regulatory requirements, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws.
• Promotes and adheres to policies concerning Safety, Anit-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.
• Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards

• One year of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to frequently lift and carry, greater than 70lbs and constantly lift and carry up to 70 lbs; Constantly push, pull up to 70 lbs; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, & bend.

Working conditions:

• Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
• Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
