GDI, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a dependable Janitorial Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning staff and ensure areas meet cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.

You will lead shifts, assign tasks, monitor quality, and train new employees while maintaining a safe, professional environment. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and prior supervisory experience. Weekly pay is offered along with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise janitorial staff on assigned shifts.
• Assign tasks, monitor quality and completion.
• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, equipment, restrooms, breakrooms, and production areas.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools and PPE.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures and inspect for compliance.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures.
• Support cleanups, spills and special projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Assist with cross-training employees as needed.
• Perform other duties to support operations.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and experience supervising janitorial teams while maintaining a clean, safe and professional environment.

Schedule Hours:

8:00am-5:00pm

Job Duties

• Lead and supervise janitorial/process cleaning staff during assigned shifts.
• Assigned daily tasks and monitor work quality and completion.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation of floors, walls, equipment, restrooms, breakrooms, and production areas.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Follow OSHA, safety, and company sanitation procedures.
• Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance standards are met.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures
• Support emergency cleanups, spills, and special projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Assist with training and cross-training employees as needed
• Other assigned duties to support operation needs

Requirements

• Ability to lead and supervise.
• Ability to be standing and/or walking for extended periods of time
• Previous supervisory experience required
• A strong work ethic
• The ability to work alone or within a team is a must
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including composite toed shoes, if needed.
