Job summary

Progressive Tractor & Implement Co is seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment at our Shreveport facility. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, support maintenance activities, and ensure all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards across shop and office spaces.

The role requires physical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• High attention to cleanliness and safety standards.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks in varied environments.
• Experience in shop/industrial settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep the building and grounds neat, clean, and free from hazards or clutter.
• Maintain exterior spaces, including mowing, weed eating, and parking lot upkeep.
• Wash and clean heavy equipment as needed.
• Stack and organize pallets in designated areas.
• Safely operate a high-powered pressure washing system.
• Clean and restock restrooms regularly.
• Empty trash receptacles throughout the facility.
• Clean offices, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain interior and exterior floors.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleaning or maintenance requests.
• Perform daily housekeeping and janitorial tasks in shop and work areas.
• Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
• Perform minor facility maintenance tasks as needed.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility and surrounding grounds. This includes performing daily cleaning tasks, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring all areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards.
