Location: Elko, NV

Schedule & Hours – Monday-Friday 8 am – 1 pm or Wednesday-Sunday 8 am – 10 am

Site: Bureau of Land Management – California Trail Interpretive Center

Pay Range: $17.00/hr. – $19.00/hr

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards at ourBureau of Land Management/California Trail CenterinElko, NV, ensuring a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for both clients and staff.

What you’ll do:

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces, using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock levels are low.
• Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are adhered to.
• Restock restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning activities to the relevant department.
• Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines while remaining flexible to accommodate special requests or urgent needs.
• Use environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible to promote sustainability.

What you need:

• Prior experience in commercial or residential cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the care and cleaning of buildings.
• Must have experience in Buffing, Waxing, Stripping, and Carpet Shampooing.
• Must have the ability to complete necessary checklists, inventory & provide other data.
• MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE, VERIFIABLE & RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
• MUST POSSESS A DOJ SECURITY CLEARANCE OR BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK/SECURITY CLEARANCE OF THIS LEVEL.
• MUST HAVE A SMARTPHONE AND ABILITY TO USE LOCATION SERVICES FOR THE TIME AND ATTENDANCE APPLICATION.
