Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is hiring a Porter to support high-volume janitorial operations in Tigard, OR. You will interact with customers daily, perform cleaning duties, and prioritize tasks to meet site needs in a fast-paced environment.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour. Shifts run 5am–10am, Saturday to Thursday (Friday off). This role is hourly and non-exempt, with eligibility for select benefits if under 30 hours per week.

This role requires work to be completed in high volume and heavy traffic sites, or as an onsite individual crew member, where successful daily customer interaction and fulfillment of related requests, within the scope of site work, is key.The Porter works directly with the customer daily and maintain excellent customer relations while executing customer requests and meeting daily janitorial duties.The Porter has a broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes.Excellent customer service skillsAbility to lead and provide solutions to various problems.Other responsibilities as directed by manager.Requirements for our Porter Positions:Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 poundsWalking in and around the facility with great frequency throughout the entire shiftMust be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hoursAbility to carry out detailed, or written instructionsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required)Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customersKBS utilizes the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software for accurate recording of employee work hours, attendance management, completion of required training, and distribution of important employment-related information. All non-exempt employees are required to download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out for their shifts and breaks.
