Harvard Maintenance in Cincinnati is looking for a reliable janitorial team member to provide top-tier floor care and cleaning for commercial spaces. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely task completion while maintaining a tidy, professional environment.

You will operate and maintain floor care equipment, apply cleaning chemicals safely, and follow established procedures. The position supports a comprehensive benefits package and features an evening schedule with potential weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care, janitorial, or commercial cleaning is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques for various surfaces.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining floor care equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices.

Responsibilities

A day in the life

• Deliver high-quality service and professionalism, upholding the standards and integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
• Clean, maintain, and care for a variety of floor types, including tile, carpet, and brick.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Follow established procedures for the correct use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Operate, maintain, and care for floor cleaning equipment safely and properly.
• Consistently observe safety protocols, including the use of “wet floor” signs and other precautions.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Promptly report any safety hazards or concerns.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in floor care, janitorial, or commercial cleaning is a plus
• Knowledge of floor care techniques for various surfaces
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining floor care equipment
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices
