Job summary

Innovative Facility Services (IFS) is seeking a Janitorial Crew Member to join our fast-paced, growing team. This full-time role offers daytime shifts (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday) and opportunities for leadership within a unionized environment.

IFS is the union affiliate of KBS, the largest privately held provider of facility services in North America. Benefits may include health, life, and a 401(k) plan, with eligibility based on the applicable CBA.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
• Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaning.
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment; dust, wash, vacuum, and polish.
• Gather and empty trash; service, clean and supply restrooms.
• Move furniture or other items as needed; extract carpet on small jobs.
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications; monitor and report facility issues.
• Monitor building security and safety and ensure appliances are turned off after hours.
• Ensure supplies are available for each shift and report replenishment needs.
