Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is hiring a Janitorial Crew Member for shifts starting at 4am in Roanoke, VA. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, restrooms, floors, windows, and maintaining logs while following safety procedures. Training on KBSPresence is provided.

Ideal candidates can lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk for 10–12 hours, and read safety documents. Company offers benefits for part-time staff and a 401k program after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds.

• Able to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Familiar with mobile timekeeping apps for logging hours.

Responsibilities

• Performs work according to standard procedure and building schedule.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and windows.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Clean windows, polish surfaces, and dust fixtures.
• Maintain restrooms and restocking as needed.
• Complete logs and operate equipment safely.
• Follow health and sanitation procedures and safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Shifts Available:

4am 9:30am

Summary of duties:

• Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, and windows.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the sales floor and seating area.
• Clean windows and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Dust fixtures, shelves, and products as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the customer and team member restrooms (includes cleaning and policing as needed).
• Complete sweep logs, as directed.
• Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Requirements for our Janitorial Crew Positions:

• Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds
• Walking in and around the facility with great frequency throughout the entire shift
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals, sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required)
• KBS utilizes the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software for accurate recording of employee work hours, attendance management, completion of required training, and distribution of important employment-related information. All non-exempt employees are required to download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out for their shifts and breaks. In accordance with applicable local laws, cell phone reimbursement is provided to support the use of personal devices for work-related tasks.
