Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is hiring a Janitorial Crew Member to support our growing team in the United States. The role covers cleaning of rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas, with emphasis on safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

Starting pay is $18.99 per hour with weekend shifts required. The job includes benefits eligibility for part-time schedules, timesheet tracking via KBSPresence, and opportunities for growth within a fast-paced facility services company.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 10–12 hours.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures (English; Spanish where required).

Responsibilities

• Performs work according to standard procedure and building schedule.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other areas.
• Sweep, mop floors, clean spills, and maintain cleanliness of restrooms and surfaces.
• Clean windows and polish stainless surfaces; dust fixtures.
• Maintain cleanliness of customer and team member restrooms.
• Complete logs; operate and sanitize equipment safely.
• Follow health, sanitation procedures and safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Summary of duties:

• Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, and windows.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the sales floor and seating area.
• Clean windows and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Dust fixtures, shelves, and products as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the customer and team member restrooms (includes cleaning and policing as needed).
• Complete sweep logs, as directed.
• Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Requirements for our Janitorial Crew Positions:

• Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds
• Walking in and around the facility with great frequency throughout the entire shift
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals, sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required)
• KBS utilizes the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software for accurate recording of employee work hours, attendance management, completion of required training, and distribution of important employment-related information. All non-exempt employees are required to download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out for their shifts and breaks. In accordance with applicable local laws, cell phone reimbursement is provided to support the use of personal devices for work-related tasks.
