IFS is seeking a Janitorial Crew Member to join a fast-paced team in Minnesota. The role involves cleaning floors, furniture, walls, and fixtures; handling trash; restrooms; and basic equipment handling. The schedule includes varied days and shifts, with some 4am–10am options.

Applicants should have cleaning experience, the ability to follow instructions, strong communication, and a willingness to take on additional duties. Union-related benefits may apply.

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to follow detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
• Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and the public in a courteous manner.
• Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, manuals and chemical sheets (English; possibly Spanish where required).

Responsabilités

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming, spot cleaning).
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment.
• Gather and empty trash; service, clean and supply restrooms.
• Move light items and operate hand trucks as needed; may extract carpet for small jobs.
• Prepare cleaning solutions and ensure proper use of equipment; report facility issues.

Work Schedule: Days/nights vary, including weekends

Shifts Available:

• 4am-10am 6 days a week, thursdays off

Summary Of Duties:

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaning
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment (e.g. Dust, wash, vacuum, and polish)
• Gather and empty trash
• Service, clean and supply restrooms
• May move furniture, light fixtures or other items manually or with hand truck
• May extract carpet (small jobs)
• Execute proper use of all equipment
• Clean and maintain cleaning equipment per instructions (e.g. rags, mops, machines, tools and buckets)
• Prepare cleaning solutions (water, detergents and other chemicals) according to specifications
• Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs (notify Lead, Site or Zone Manager)
• Monitor building security and safety (lock doors after operating hours and ensure electrical appliances are turned off, etc.)
• Properly stack and replace cleaning items and tools
• Ensure supplies are available for each shift
• Report supply requisition needs to Lead/Manager

Requirements For Our Janitorial Crew Member Position:

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
• Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.
• Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
