Job summary

Harvard Maintenance is seeking a Cleaner to perform basic cleaning of all common areas, restrooms, entrances, elevators, walkways, and more across our Richardson sites.

A variety of shifts are available including evening and third shift; physical stamina is required and reliability essential to meet health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning duties in commercial settings.
• Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Willingness to work assigned hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, and dispose of waste properly.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Attend to flooded areas and incidental spills as needed.

A Day In The Life

A Cleaner is responsible for basic cleaning, including cleaning of all common areas, restrooms, entrances, elevators, walkways, windows, furniture, fixtures, stairs, chairs, tables, telephones, drinking fountains, trashing, dusting, polishing, and other assigned items/areas. We have multiple shifts available as well as both full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities.

Evening shifts

3 PM - 10 PM

Third shift

11 PM - 6 AM; Thursday Off

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for all basic cleaning.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, and dispose of waste properly.
• Cleaning includes sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in all areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Perform additional duties as required, including attending to flooded areas, incidental spills, and related clean-up work for trash and restroom concerns.
