Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties across assigned facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly environment for employees and visitors.

You will sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, restrooms, and restock supplies, following safety standards and ABM procedures. Prior cleaning experience is a plus; ability to work independently and manage time effectively is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively; familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities.
• Notifies managers concerning repairs.
• Establishes effective communication with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Complies with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures.
• Flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; follows chemical use procedures.
• Dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures.
• Removes stains from surfaces using cleaning solutions.
• Mixes water and detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions.
• Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas; applies spot cleaning.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs.
• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.
• Cleans glass doors.
• Keeps janitor’s closet neat and orderly; maintains equipment.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities.
• Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
• A cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures.
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
• Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment
• Gathers and empties trash
• Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs
• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
• Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms
• Cleans glass doors
• Must keep janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order
• Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Required:
