Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform cleaning duties across assigned facilities in Indiana. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe environment for employees, clients, and visitors.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, sanitizing restrooms, waste disposal, glass cleaning, and reporting safety hazards. Prior cleaning experience is a plus; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or cleaning roles is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards
• Empty trash and recycling bins and waste in accordance with company policies
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation
