Job summary

The Brock Group Inc in Carson, CA is seeking a diligent janitor to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation of the facility. You will operate cleaning equipment, manage supplies, and support safety and housekeeping for a busy site.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, waste removal, floor care, and minor repairs. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required to operate facility vehicles).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving walking, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Experience with cleaning equipment and floor care machines preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of all facility areas including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, locker rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces regularly.
• Clean and restock restrooms with supplies such as soap, paper products, and sanitizer.
• Empty and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with facility protocols.
• Clean and maintain exterior areas such as entryways, sidewalks, and stairwells.
• Wipe down high-touch surfaces, glass, windows, and mirrors.
• Operate floor care equipment including buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.
• Drive a work truck or golf cart to transport cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment across facility grounds.
• Conduct light maintenance and minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, or assembling/disassembling furniture.
• Respond to and clean up spills or janitorial emergencies quickly and safely.
• Assist in setup or cleanup for meetings, events, or safety stand-downs.
• Monitor inventory levels of janitorial supplies and PPE; request replenishments when necessary.
• Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with SDS guidelines and company safety standards.
• Follow all site-specific safety rules and wear required PPE at all times.
• Report facility issues, hazards, or suspicious behavior to supervision promptly.
• Support additional facility-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
