Job summary

Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a motivated Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitization in a medical facility, ensuring patient rooms, waiting areas, and offices stay welcoming and safe.

Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, restocking supplies, and operating cleaning equipment. The role requires independence, attention to detail, and clear communication with patients, visitors, and staff; weekend/holiday shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping, healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, disinfection procedures and chemical handling.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.
• Strong attention to detail and maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift, bend and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, offices and hospital spaces per protocols.
• Empty trash and biomedical waste containers and dispose properly.
• Disinfect surfaces and fixtures to prevent infection spread.
• Restock towels, soap and toilet paper as needed.
• Operate vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and steam cleaners.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests with professional demeanor.
• Follow safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to supervisor.
• Perform other tasks requested by the client or company.
