Job summary

Advanced Building Maintenance Inc is seeking a motivated Janitor to join our team and help maintain cleanliness in commercial and medical building settings, ensuring a welcoming and sanitary environment for occupants and visitors. Responsibilities include routine cleaning, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, restrooms, restocking supplies, and coordinating with maintenance staff.

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
• Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons.
• Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste according to established guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
