Job summary

Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a dependable Janitor to maintain cleanliness in commercial and medical buildings in San Jose. You will perform routine cleaning, restock supplies, and ensure safe, sanitary spaces for occupants and visitors.

You must have prior janitorial experience, good attention to detail, and the stamina to lift up to 50 pounds. This part-time role offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 5 pm to 9 pm with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
• Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons.
• Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste according to established guidelines.
• Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary.
• Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address any issues related to building cleanliness and safety.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc team.
