Job summary

PACS is hiring a Laundry Aide to support post-acute care facilities across the country. You will prepare and deliver clean linen, sort, wash, dry and fold textiles, and ensure linens are available for residents' care and comfort.

Responsibilities include collecting laundry daily, labeling items as needed, following sanitary procedures, maintaining equipment, and reporting issues to the Administrator. GED or HS diploma preferred, ability to read directions, basic math and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills required for processing quantities and labeling.
• Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.

Job description

Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents. Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains. Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed. Label new resident’s clothing items as needed Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties Maintain inventory of laundry supplies Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner. Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator

Education and/or Experience

GED or High School Diploma 1 year of experience preferred

Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00
