ESFM USA in Lansing, MI is hiring a part-time janitorial associate for evening shifts (10:00 pm – 2:30 am) with overtime as needed (10:30 pm – 6:30 am). Location: GM - 8175 Millet Highway, Lansing, MI 48917; online applications accepted.

Requirements include at least 1 year of janitorial experience and a willingness to learn how to operate a forklift. The role involves heavy cleaning, trash disposal, floor care and sanitation per procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash per procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors.
• Moves equipment and furniture for cleaning and returns them to place.
• Cleans assigned areas and sanitizes surfaces following eight-step cleaning.
• Washes walls, windows and furniture to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Performs tasks per supervisor and adheres to guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to a professional team environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Pay Range: $23.59 per hour to $28.59 per hour

Job Summary

Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces. Follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
