SSC Services For Education is hiring part-time janitors at the Hardeeville Complex in Hardeeville, SC. The role focuses on keeping buildings clean and orderly with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, waste disposal, dusting, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and supporting a safe, distraction-free learning environment. Prior janitorial experience is preferred but not required.

Job description

We are hiring immediately for part time JANITOR positions.

Location: Hardeeville Complex - 150 Hurricane Alley, Hardeeville, SC 29927. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part time schedule; days may vary, 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)

Requirement: Prior janitorial experience is preferred, but not required.

Fixed Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces. Follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
