Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring on-call janitor positions at Denton ISD locations, with openings in Lantana, TX. Shifts are on-call, typically 4–8 hours between 10:30 AM–7:00 PM or 3:00 PM–10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. No experience is required; training will be provided.

Fixed pay rate is $13.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and same-day pay benefits. These roles emphasize clean, safe educational facilities and offer growth opportunities within SSC’s supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings clean and orderly.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors according to procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for cleaning and places them back correctly.
• Cleans assigned areas with prescribed materials and equipment, sanitizes surfaces, and follows eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Identifies areas needing cleaning and completes tasks.
• Performs tasks per supervisor instructions and complies with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpets.
• Contributes to the team and maintains professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces. Follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
