SSC Services For Education is hiring a Janitor Lead at Arizona State University in Tempe. The role leads training for custodial staff and oversees cleaning methods, equipment use, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include conducting training sessions, updating materials, and evaluating trainee performance to ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies. Full-time schedule; benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Prior facility management experience is required.
• Ability to train and supervise custodial staff.
• Willingness to work a full-time schedule and varied days.

Responsibilities

• Conducts classroom and hands-on training on customer service, safety, compliance and company policies.
• Conducts one-on-one training as needed.
• Updates and provides training on use of janitorial equipment, PPE and chemical usage/safety.
• Copies training material and revises material as needed; conducts administrative tasks as requested.
• Provides feedback on new associates during orientation; reviews trainee records for compliance.
• Makes disciplinary recommendations to training coordinator when appropriate.
• Performs monthly safety performance reviews to ensure compliance.
• Performs walk-through building inspections as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• We are hiring immediately for full time JANITOR LEAD positions.
• Location: Arizona State University - 1151 South Forest Avenue, Tempe, AZ 85281. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; days may vary, 7:00 am to 3:45 pm. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: Prior facility management experience is required.
• Fixed Pay Rate: $17.40 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Performs administrative tasks, trains team members and oversees overall training activities for custodial associates. Acts as a resource for others due to knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and heavy commercial cleaning equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducts classroom and hands-on training on customer service, safety, compliance and company policies.
• Conducts one-on-one training as needed.

• Provides recommendations to training coordinator for disciplinary action as appropriate.
• Performs reviews, i.e., monthly safety performance review, in order to ensure compliance with OSHA, Risk Management and other applicable company/federal/state/local requirements and policies.
• Performs walk-through building inspections as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
